We are now offering a seed bank! Through funding from the Foundation for Southern Tier Libraries, we are able to offer an arrangement of seeds for your personal gardens. We have small and large packets of seeds for gardens of all sizes. We will also be sharing videos on our social media accounts about how to grow plants inside and
We are now offering monthly subscription boxes! Each month you will received 3-5 books chosen by staff, a craft, a bookmark, and some treats! This program begins May 1 so make sure to sign up here or at the front desk to reserve your spot. Funds were provided for by the Allegany County Area Foundation.
We have a new recycling program at the library! We will take smartphones, toner, iPods, etc: it’s all listed on the box! Please remember to remove personal data from devices before recycling.
Thursday story hour for kids of all ages from 3-4 pm at the Friendship Free Library. The story hour will be in the auditorium; each week we will be reading two or three books and then doing a craft. Snacks and drinks will also be provided.
JUST A REMINDER; During Homecomer’s July 31st the Library will be having a book sale out front. We will also have a silent action and have some refreshments. Take a self-guided StoryWalk up and down Main St in Friendship, starting at the school and ending at Tami’s Creations. Follow the directions on the index cards on the signs. Douglas, You Need Glasses by Ged Adamson will be placed on signs at the businesses up and down Main St. The StoryWalk will be available from July 7 through August
The Friendship Free Library is once again participating in the State wide library Summer reading program. Children ages 4 years to 18 years can register for the program. The program runs through August 28 so there is still plenty of time left to sign up, do some reading and earn library cash to get fun prizes.
The library’s current hours are 11 am to 3 pm Tuesday & Thursday, and Wednesdays from 1 pm – 6 pm. The front door is now open, and an appointment to enter the library is no longer required. A mask covering your mouth and nose must be worn to enter the library; if you cannot wear a mask, we can
